100th Hammar sold in AustraliaCoynes Transport in Melbourne is the company that purchased the 100th Hammar container side loader sold in Australia, the second Hammar for their fleet.

Chris Smith, manager of Coynes Transport commented that they bought their first Hammar a year ago and it was a "suck it and see" situation. "We had heard a lot of good reports about the Hammar loaders, and it was about that time that we were considering buying another trailer" he said.

"The operators really appreciate some of the features that are standard equipment on these Hammar loaders because it makes their job so much easier. Having all the controls located at the rear of the trailer is a big plus, and when you're backing up to load a container, there's a sensor built into the trailer that flashes a green light when you're lined up perfectly with the container".

"Being able to operate both cranes simultaneously from a single joy stick is a great advantage, it's just so easy and safe to operate" was one operators comment.

"The guys that we deal with at Hammar Australia are spot on, nothing is ever a problem to them. Even if you have a situation where you need their advice or suggestions, they're always ready to assist", Chris says.

The sideloaders that Coynes Transport have purchased are the 195S model that have a S.W.L. of 33 tonnes according to Australian Standard 1418.5. They have the capacity to transport 20' and 40' containers or two 20' containers together.
